Dalmia Bharat is planning to further increase its presence in Bengal, India. The company has been present in the region for the last two years through its cement unit near Salboni. Dalmia Cement buys additional stake in Calcom

Dalmia Bharat Enterprises has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that its subsidiary, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) has approved acquisition of additional 26 per cent stake in Calcom Cement for a consideration of INR77.16 crore. A share purchase agreement to this effect was signed on Friday. This consideration will be paid in multiple tranches and will be subject to the adjustments and other terms and conditions set out in the definitive agreements.

OCL to raise funds for new plant, India

OCL India Ltd, part of the Dalmia Group, is planning to raise around US$40m from International Finance Corporation (IFC) to support investment for the company's new 1.35Mta grinding plant at Medinipur, West Bengal. Dalmia Bharat Enterprises Ltd said Friday it has signed an agreement to acquire Adhunik Group's cement unit for about INR5.60bn (US$106.3m). Under the deal, Dalmia Cement Bharat Ltd. will acquire Adhunik Cement Ltd., the company said in a regulatory filing.
